Psychestorm by ~Sc0t0ma is a chaotic, fractal mass of electrical impulses! My neurons started firing, just viewing it... Now I know what it looks like to be brainstorming!... The color choices here, are both electric and organic; and the clarity of the entire piece is excellent, so you should take advantage of the full view. Count me in as one of the psychonauts! Oh my, this is lovely. An explosion of "Peacock" color. Beautiful composition. It's depth of field reversed!

Thank you :thanks:. It does seem to get crisper as it gets "further away" (I can invert it sometimes so further away looks either closer or just smaller). Fractals can play weird tricks on my eyes.

I love how you play with blurred layers and perfectly sharp layers in one composition.

Where some may call it chaotic, I see order and beauty...

Thank you :). It's really cool that you see that. I feel the same way about this image and this is why (you don't have to read this if you are busy :D): The thing about these types of fractals is that I start with noise, and after applying the same functions (which move the pixels) over and over again to the noisy pixels, I get this image (a limit set). If I continued to apply the same functions to all the pixels in this image, I would get the same image. It is symmetric under this entire function system (it doesn't change when these transformations are applied to it). I think this symmetry looks ordered and aesthetically pleasing :). If I were to apply the inverse of these functions, I would push the image back to noise, which would really be chaotic (I wouldn't be able to tell at all where a pixel would end up).
